Introduction
The Osiris League will serve as the ultimate proving grounds for the world’s greatest alliances. League competitors will face off in one head-to-head battle each Sunday, progressing through a series of elimination rounds until only the strongest is left standing!
Stage 1: Qualifiers
A total of 512 alliances will be separated into 32 divisions and will compete in 3 group stage rounds and 2 elimination rounds. Only the winner of each division will receive rank rewards and progress to the next stage.
Stage 2: Playoffs
The 32 division champions will compete in 3 group stage rounds and 4 elimination rounds. At the end of the group stage, only 16 alliances (the top 2 alliances in each group) will progress to the single-knockout elimination rounds. The winner of the final round will be crowned world champion. (Alliance ranking will determine the level of rank rewards received.)
Competition Format
Registration
1. How to Register
After the Osiris League event opens, alliance leaders or officers will need to register their alliance on the event page before the end of the registration period. Competition times and combatants must be selected during registration and cannot be changed once registration ends.
2. Competition Times
All rounds will take place on Sunday. Alliances will need to choose 3 potential competition times from the following time slots and rank them in order of preference (all times in UTC): 03:00, 09:00, 13:00, 14 00, and 19:00.
Once matchmaking is complete, the system will automatically determine a competition time based on the times selected by each alliance. (Competition time preferences cannot be changed once the qualifiers have begun.)
3. Participants
Alliance leaders or officers can choose 30 combatants and 30 backups from their alliance to register as participants. Each alliance’s matchmaking rating will be calculated as the combined matchmaking rating of the top 30 governors.
This list of participants cannot be changed during qualifiers. (Governors who join an alliance after the end of registration cannot be selected as participants. This restriction will be lifted after the end of qualifiers.)
4. Selection Process
Once registration is complete, the top 512 registered alliances in terms of matchmaking rating will be selected to compete in the Osiris League qualifiers. (Alliances who do not make it into the Osiris League will still be able to compete in regular Ark of Osiris battles.)
Qualifiers
Qualifiers comprise 3 group stage rounds and 2 elimination rounds over 5 weeks. Only the top alliance in each division will progress to the playoffs.
1. Divisions
The 512 alliances selected for the Osiris League will be separated into 32 divisions, with 16 alliances in each division. Only the top alliance in each division will progress to the playoffs.
2. Group Stage
The 16 alliances in each division will be further separated into 4 groups (4 alliances in each group) for a round robin stage.
At the end of the round robin stage, only the alliance with the most wins in each group will progress to the knockout stage (if two alliances have an equal number of wins, the winner of the battle between those two alliances will move on.)
3. Knockout Stage
There will be 4 alliances in the 2-round single-knockout elimination stage for each division. The winner of the knockout stage will progress to the playoffs.
Rest Period
There will be a 7-day rest period following the end of qualifiers. During this period alliance leaders and officers will be able to make certain adjustments to their registration details.
1. Competition Times
During the rest period, alliance leaders and officers will be able to select new competition times and adjust their preferred order. Each alliance will still be required to select 3 potential competition times.
2. Participants
During the rest period, alliance leaders and officers will be able to adjust their alliance’s list of participants.
Adjustments can be made freely throughout the rest period, but on the final list of participants no more than 10 of the original qualifier stage participants may be removed, no more than 10 new participants may be added, and the total number of participants added must be equal to or greater than the number removed.
There is no restriction on the number of times participants can be moved between combatant and substitute roles.
Governors included on the list of participants (at the end of registration) for other division champions may not be added as new participants, but other newly joined alliance members may be added.
Competition time selections and lists of participants will be locked at the end of the rest period and cannot be changed throughout the rest of the competition. League participant rewards will be sent to the list of participants confirmed at the end of the rest period.
Playoffs
Playoffs comprise 3 group stage rounds and 4 elimination rounds over 7 weeks. A total of 32 alliances (the champions of the 32 divisions) will enter the playoffs.
1. Group Stage
The 32 alliances who progress to the playoffs will be separated into 8 groups (4 alliances in each group) for a round robin stage. At the end of the round robin stage, the top 2 alliances with the most wins in each group will progress to the knockout stage (if two alliances have an equal number of wins, the winner of the battle between those two alliances will move on.)
2. Knockout Stage
The single-knockout elimination stage will consist of four rounds: Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals.
The winner of the final round will be crowned this season’s world champion.
